Born July 2006 in Guilford CT. of “My Way Golden Retrievers” (Laura Way)
When not snoozing, Macgriff was a devoted friend and loyal service dog. He was the inspiration of the “Macgriff Reading Program” at Cambridge Elementary School and proudly served as a volunteer for over 10 years.
Once a week Macgriff and his partner Matti spent the day with all Kindergarten and First Graders (3 students at a time) to bring a special enjoyment to young readers. Macgriff’s first students are now graduating from High School. Forever.
Matti was born in New Hampshire and she is now 15 1/2 years old. She spends her spare time supervising the new Reading Dogs Maisy and Cheddar. Matti is a sweet gal and loves her biscuits.
A local pup born in Jericho, Vermont from Goldensand Golden Retrievers.
Maisy started volunteering as a Reading Dog at Cambridge Elementary School before her first birthday. Her good nature and kindness were all she needed for the job.
Born on April Fool’s Day, Cheddar is Maisy’s little sister. She was only 11 lbs when we she arrived. . . her 2 litter mates were 26 lbs. To make sure she was eating enough and gaining weight, we weighed her in a lobster pot every few days. Cheddar out grew her lobster pot and now is almost 100 pounds!
